EARLY SPECIALISATION, TEAM IMPACT ON SOLO SPORT AND ROUTINES

This week we interview Adam Nicholson who swam at the elite level participating at various European, World and Commonwealth championships. He even competed against the great Ian Thorpe!
It’s a fantastic interview that delves into athlete and talent development, the team effect on motivation and performance, and his meticulous preparation and routines to perform at the highest level.
This is a great interview for parents that have kids who are sporty. The temptation to focus on one sport only is very high, but until his mid teens Adam played many different sports and was a late starter in swimming, and still managed to reach the top level.
We also talk about the team aspect in what are usually solo sports. Being part of a team helped Adam to push himself to reach new levels of performance.
We hope you enjoy the show !
